Craig Morgan Teicher

The Dragon

In fact, real dragons were quite small.  They did breath fire, but only enough to be mistaken for a firefly on a very dark night.  They were as harmless as fireflies, though that did not stop anyone from killing them.

Craig Morgan Teicher's first book, Brenda Is in the Room and Other Poems won the 2007 Colorado Prize for Poetry. His second, a collection of fables and stories, will be published by BOA in Spring 2010.  He is on the board of the National Book Critics Circle, is Poetry Reviews Editor of Publishers Weekly, and lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son.
