Dear friends,

What a magical evening we had in the garden! From the magnificent show Impressionism: American Gardens on Canvas, to "Cloud-Ruffled Collins" cocktails in the fragrant conservatory, to dinner with the legendary Garrison Keillor and Billy Collins, to the moving tribute from Robert Sillerman, and dessert with Sweet Megg & the Wayfarers, it was an evening I know we'll all remember for a long time to come. We are honored that you chose to spend it with us.

It is because of people like you that the Poetry Society of America has been able to place poetry at the crossroads of American life for the past 106 years. From the PSA's first meeting at the National Arts Club in 1910, to gatherings such as the one this week at the New York Botanical Garden, we salute those who support our mission.

In the words of First Lady Michelle Obama, from her letter in the spring-green tribute book:

"With your steadfast commitment to supporting the poetry community, champions like you will inspire our next generation of artists and leaders."

Please join us in raising a glass to another 106 years of American poetry. We hope you'll be inspired to support us in this vital mission.

With great thanks,

Alice Quinn
