THE NEW SALON: READINGS AND CONVERSATIONS
with Eamon Grennan



Eamon Grennan, a Dubliner, taught for many years at Vassar College and has also taught in the graduate writing programs of Columbia's School of the Arts and NYU. A recipient of the Lenore Marshall Prize, his recent collections are Out of Sight: New & Selected Poems (Graywolf) and But the Body (Gallery, Ireland). His translations of Leopardi won a PEN award in translation, and he has co-translated (with his partner, Rachel Kitzinger) Oedipus at Colonus (Oxford).  He has also written a book of critical essays: Facing the Music: Irish Poetry in the 20th Century. His latest volume There Now is forthcoming in the U.S. from Graywolf in autumn 2016.

Conversation to follow the reading, moderated by Jeff Cassvan, a former student of Grennan's who is the acting director of Irish Studies at Queens College.

Announcing our new President of the Board of Governors: Kimiko Hahn



The Poetry Society of America (PSA) is pleased to announce that Kimiko Hahn, who has served on the PSA's Board of Governors since 2007, has been elected the new President succeeding Ruth Kaplan, who held the position since 2007.
