On this special day of giving we ask you to consider deepening your involvement with the Poetry Society of America and our poetry community through a gift or membership for yourself or a loved one.

Donating to the PSA means much more than making a charitable gift. Giving to the PSA means being a part of the nation's oldest poetry nonprofit; it means supporting poets at all stages of their careers; it means helping to present between forty and fifty free, public poetry programs annually throughout the country; it means ensuring the legacy of our signature program, Poetry in Motion, which places poems on subways and buses around the country. Here is one of our most recent, "Heaven" by Patrick Phillips, from his debut volume, Boy. His newest book, Elegy for a Broken Machine, was shortlisted for this year's National Book Award:

Most of all, giving to the PSA means helping to place poetry at the crossroads of American life.

On Giving Tuesday you can support the Poetry Society of America by becoming a member, purchasing a membership for a friend or loved one, or by making a 100% tax-deductible charitable donation. Gifts of any amount are deeply appreciated.

We are so grateful to have you as part of the PSA family. Thank you for working with us to hold poetry aloft in American life.

Sincerely,

Alice Quinn
