Last night was breathtaking, from strolling through the recreation of Frida Kahlo's garden, to listening to the poems of New York Poetry in Motion poets Jeffery Yang and Patrick Phillips, to toasting Jenny Holzer's sublime projections. We feel honored that Jenny created the projections for the benefit and the Garden and are so grateful you were able to join us for such an unforgettable evening!
We wanted to remind you that from tonight until Saturday, June 13th, Jenny Holzer's scrolling light projections will continue at The New York Botanical Garden in front of the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Each evening—weather permitting—from dusk until 10 p.m., waves of poetry will sweep over the iconic landmark building.
The New York Botanical Garden has generously offered our benefit guests a discount on Frida al Fresco Evening tickets. Visit nybg.org and enter the code 7126 at checkout.
Without you we would not be able to present poetry to the public through over 50 public events annually, and through our signature program, Poetry in Motion, which places poems in the subways and buses, reaching millions of people daily. Please consider supporting the PSA and all our efforts to bring poetry to the crossroads of American life.
P.S. Don't miss the Huffington Post's coverage of the projections!
