Leaping into the New Year

Dear Friend,

"think of the music on a summer night / with no one conducting... / and how love songs may have gotten started there" Gerald Stern directs us in his poem "Frogs" with the mix of knowingness and awe for which he received our highest honor, the Frost Medal, for his lifetime achievement in poetry.

In this spirit of love and song, the spirit of the holiday season, we're pleased to thank those friends who become a member now with a limited-edition, signed broadside of "Frogs" by Gerald Stern, letterpress printed by Flying Object—yours for just an additional $10 donation.

Thank you for supporting poetry: whether it's reading new poems and essays on our website or on subways and buses in your city through Poetry in Motion; whether you're following our activities through our emails or attending our free poetry events in gardens, universities, and other spaces; whether you're submitting your work to our Annual Awards and Chapbook Fellowships or looking forward to reading the winners.

With all warm wishes for the new year,

Alice Quinn
