Dear Friend,

I hope you are having a wonderful winter. I recently joined the Poetry Society of America as the Programs Manager, and I look forward to meeting you in person.

I am writing to extend a special invitation to Poets in the Palace: Major Jackson in the Titian Room, on Monday, December 11 at 3pm at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. This intimate reading will be a unique opportunity to hear Major Jackson's award-winning poetry as you move through one of the Museum's historic galleries.

Major Jackson is the author of four collections of poetry: Roll Deep (W. W. Norton, 2017), Holding Company (2010) and Hoops (2006), both finalists for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literature–Poetry, and Leaving Saturn (University of Georgia, 2002), winner of the 2001 Cave Canem Poetry Prize and finalist for a National Book Critics Circle Award.

I hope you will consider joining us! While entrance requires a ticket to the museum so we cannot offer free admission, I would be happy to reserve a seat for you. Seating is extremely limited; registration is not required, but is encouraged. If you plan to attend, please first register using the instructions here and then write to me at emily@poetrysociety.org so that I can hold a special seat for you.

Best wishes,

Emily Hunt
