POETS IN THE PALACE: JANA PRIKRYL IN THE SPANISH CLOISTER

In this new series, visitors will enjoy an intimate, hour-long reading by a poet in one of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's historic galleries.

Jana Prikryl is the author of The After Party (2016), a book of poems, and this year she is a Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, where she is working on her second collection. Her poems have been published widely, in magazines including The New YorkerThe Paris Review, and The London Review of Books. She writes essays on photography and film that appear regularly in The Nation and The New York Review of Books, where she works as a senior editor.

POETS IN THE PALACE: ROBERT PINSKY IN THE TAPESTRY ROOM



In this new series, visitors will enjoy an intimate, hour-long reading by a living poet in one of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's historic galleries.

Robert Pinsky 
is an American poet, essayist, literary critic, and translator. From 1997 to 2000, he served as U.S. Poet Laureate. He is the author of numerous books of poetry, essays, and translations. His most recent poetry collection, At the Foundling Hospital, was published in 2016 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. His work has earned him the PEN/Voelcker Award, the William Carlos Williams Prize, the Lenore Marshall Prize, Italy's Premio Capri, the Korean Manhae Award, and the Harold Washington Award from the City of Chicago, among other accolades. He teaches at Boston University.

POETS IN THE PALACE: MAJOR JACKSON IN THE TITIAN ROOM

In this new series, visitors will enjoy an intimate, hour-long reading by a living poet in one of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's historic galleries.

Major Jackson is the author of four collections of poetry: Roll Deep (W. W. Norton, 2017); Holding Company (2010) and Hoops ( 2006), both finalists for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literature-Poetry; and Leaving Saturn (University of Georgia, 2002), winner of the 2001 Cave Canem Poetry Prize and finalist for a National Book Critics Award Circle.
